The Team: The Maintenance Mechanic is part of the Mattel Fort Worth Distribution Center team.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining indoor and outdoor facilities
  • May assist facility maintenance electricians, HVAC mechanics, and plumbers
  • Responsible for office setups, furniture moves, and conference room setups
  • Complete minor repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Perform deliveries and pick-ups on campus and at offsite locations
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled
  • Answer maintenance calls and make necessary repairs to keep operations moving
  • Complete snow removal during winter months and assist landscaping crew
  • Set up and tear down for special events and trade shows
  • Maintain and organize furniture in storage
  • Always perform all duties with safety in mind. Safety First, Last, And Always.
Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 3+ years of experience in Warehouse Maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Nimble—able to think and act quickly, prioritize duties based on company’s needs
  • Familiarity with power tools
  • Knowledge of office safety procedures and equipment
  • Physical stamina for active, year-round shifts
  • Fork-lift experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and safety hazard reporting
  • Interpersonal skills to support employees
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice
  • Computer skills in MS Outlook and internet
  • Knowledge of Automation (Conveyance, Carton Erection/Sealing, etc.) and Robotics (palletizing systems) *PREFERRED*
  • Knowledge of 24v control systems and VFDs/Logic Controls *PREFERRED*
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics/electrical drawings
  • Leadership skills to manage projects when asked
