Job summary

CMC is seeking motivated personnel to join its on-site maintenance and fabrication operations across its recycling centers, fabrication plants, and steel mills. The role encompasses hands-on work with heavy equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with a skilled team to ensure reliable performance.

You will receive training and development opportunities within the steel construction reinforcement and ground stabilization industries, with room to grow your career as you gain

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment.
Team player in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.
Overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift.
Capable of pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling.
Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment.
Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.
Valid driver's license.
Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.

Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs

What You'll Need

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
Valid drivers license
Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
