Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic-Manufacturing in Franklin, IN to support maintenance across the manufacturing plant and help reduce downtime by keeping equipment reliable.

You will read mechanical prints, work with engineering and production teams, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and PPE protocols. 3–5 years of relevant experience is required and a high school diploma or GED is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret data.
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance concepts and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Interpret mechanical prints and data to service and repair equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to improve processes and equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized tools and work areas.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental policies and PPE usage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The maintenance mechanic works with various departments throughout the manufacturing environment to maintain, plan, and provide mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Responsible for maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Assists others with the necessary techniques and knowledge of trade.
  • Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Interprets mechanical prints, drawings and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery.
  • Assists engineering and production departments in the development and execution of ideas to improve products, machinery and methods.
  • Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements throughout supervisory personnel.
  • Provides input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
