Mondelēz International has job opportunities for a Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic at the Nabisco/Mondelēz plant located in Chicago, IL, which operates in a continuous improvement environment.

Hourly Compensation: $38.01/hour plus shift differential.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Test, install, repair, or replace plant equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Conduct basic mechanical work, including sheet metal layout, fabrication, building and grounds maintenance, weights and scales calibration, welding, and pipefitting.
- Document work performed and communicate activities to relevant personnel.
- Review manuals, schematics, drawings, and literature to stay current on equipment updates.
- Utilize fabrication shop equipment such as drill presses, hydraulic presses, welders, band saws, sheet metal shears, brakes, and milling machines.
- Follow all safety, quality, and GMP policies and procedures.
- Possess knowledge in pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, machining, electrical systems, hand tools, and welding.
- Operate forklifts, manlifts, ladders, and scaffolds safely.
- Collaborate with electrical, boiler room, and operations personnel as needed.
- Report all work through a computerized maintenance system (SAP).
- Support initiatives such as HACCP and QCMS.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in English
- At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship or training program
- Ability to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (IL6S)
- Physical ability to climb steps, lift up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, crawl, and work from ladders and lifts
- Knowledge of TPM and SAP
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills
