Pegasus Support Services, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. The role covers general maintenance of buildings and equipment across trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and key card locks.

The position requires hands-on skills and flexibility for on-call rotations. Responsibilities include replacing electrical components, patching walls, repairing fixtures, painting, and assisting with door locks and rekeying cards.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years general mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or maintenance experience within the past four years.
• Technical/vocational maintenance training or equivalent.
• Arizona Driver's License and ability to obtain/maintain military gate pass access.
• Experience with preventative maintenance on equipment and responding to DMOs.

Responsabilidades

• Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Replace filters, belts, etc.
• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls/ceilings using plaster or compound.
• Repair sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Paint structures and equipment.
• Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Hang doors and install door locks; assist with lockouts and rekeying cards.
• Replace broken windowpanes; perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Work may require on-call rotations, occasional overtime, and some weekend work.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.

Summary:

This position performs general maintenance of buildings and equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and key card locks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Replaces filters, belts, etc.
• Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
• Painting structures and equipment
• Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
• Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles
• Hanging doors and installing door locks; assists with lock outs, battery changes, and rekeying cards.
• Replacing broken windowpanes
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Flexible scheduling to include on-call rotations, occasional overtime, and some weekend work.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum requirements for this position include a High School Diploma or equivalent GED plus a minimum of three (3) years general mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or maintenance experience within the past 4 years.
• Completion of a technical / vocational school in general maintenance skills or comparable training such as military/industry, experience may be an equivalent substitute.
• A valid Arizona Driver's License and ability to maintain military gate pass access are required.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Experience responding to and completing repairs on Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs).

Communication Skills:

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members. Ability to write reports. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, fellow employees, and customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Must be able to read and interpret various information to ensure procedures are followed.

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally be required to lift more than 50 pounds. The employee must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work environment will require on-call rotation. The employee may be exposed to noise, dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, irritating chemicals, and occasional cold, heat, and inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices, such as respirators, masks, goggles, and/or gloves.
