Use your mechanical skills to help Honeywell American Meter in Nebraska City, Nebraska, deliver high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our facilities and customers. You will work under immediate supervision alongside talented mechanics and engineers, contributing to the development of Honeywell's next-generation product lines by maintaining plant equipment and installing new equipment and processes. You will be part of a team of dedicated professionals committed to the success of the organization and its customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Work Orders according to the weekly schedule.
  2. Respond to urgent and emergency Work Orders as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader.
  3. Troubleshoot equipment failures and out-of-spec operation.
  4. Participate in after-hours on-call maintenance rotation.
  5. Complete time entries including hours worked, job details, and parts used.
  6. Maintain critical spare parts inventory and report shortages.
  7. Follow departmental and site safety and standard work procedures.
  8. Assist outside contractors with physical tasks and safety standards.
  9. Complete safety activities as directed and participate in HSE training.
  10. Participate in Process Hazard Analyses and Kaizen activities.
  11. Deliver training and safety topics to colleagues as needed.
  12. Adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and regulatory practices.
  13. Support Six Sigma and Honeywell Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.
  14. Report hazards and unsafe conditions for corrective action.
  15. Manage waste according to regulations.
  16. Review drawings and schematics for maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with manufacturing machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including circuits and wiring.
  • Troubleshooting skills for electrical controls and systems.
  • Understanding of relay logic and control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, including programming and diagnostics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years as a maintenance worker or in a chemical plant.
  • Self-motivated with effective teamwork skills.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and parts identification skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Welding certification.
