Job summary

LCI in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment while keeping a safe work environment and complying with LCI policies.

This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read drawings/schematics, welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, pneumatics, plumbing and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and two years of college or vocational education in maintenance.
• Willing to pursue further education via outside training, company testing program & vendor training.
• Two years general and preventative maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Must have previous training in preventative maintenance in a production environment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment quickly to minimize downtime.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Requires basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
• Knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing.
• Knowledge of Industrial maintenance.
• Must be able to read & understand assignments.
• Ability to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
• May be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems.
• Performs duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
