Heart Hospital of Austin, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic III PRN to support preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building systems. You will diagnose problems, work with the Engineering Manager, and help ensure safety and comfort for staff and patients.

Responsibilities include routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance, documenting records, and assisting in parts procurement.

Competenze

• 5 years experience in a large commercial/healthcare facility as electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber
• General and structural maintenance, modification, renovation and interior construction
• Hospital or similar institution maintenance preferred

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.

• You will perform a variety of skilled maintenance, including: repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities
• You will perform preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment
• You will execute miscellaneous work orders and answers trouble calls
• You will accurately document and maintain records for the facility
• You will perform routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance
• You will assist in order parts and supplied needed for maintenance

Requirements

• 5 years experience in a large commercial industrial or health care facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation and interior construction
• Previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution – preferred

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Technical, Vocational or other equivalent education – preferred
