Maintenance Mechanic III - Pecos

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic with strong supervisory skills to join our team in the Pecos, TX area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing contract lease crews, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of production facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with oilfield production equipment, including dump valves, level controllers, and back pressure valves, and be comfortable supervising field operations.

What you will be Doing:
Provide hands-on supervision and direction to contract lease crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant work practices across all assigned field activities.
Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials, parts, and supplies necessary for ongoing maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of production facilities to ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Collaborate closely with pumpers and operators to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and operational issues affecting production equipment and systems.
Support preventative maintenance programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at optimizing facility performance and reducing downtime.

Your Skills and Qualifications:
Proven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining production equipment components, including dump valves, level controllers, back pressure valves, and other mechanical control devices.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational training, trade certification, or mechanical qualifications are strongly .
Minimum of 35 years experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of field maintenance and operations.
Demonstrated experience supervising field crews or contract lease operators, including task delegation and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Strong working knowledge of oilfield safety regulations, hazard identification, and safe work practices; committed to maintaining a safety-first mindset in all tasks.
Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, supervisors, and external contractors.
Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic and sometimes remote environments.
Must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Physically capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on tasks in outdoor field conditions.

Monday to Friday
This position is based in Pecos, TX. The successful candidate must be in or near the Pecos/Odessa area.
