Our Lady of the Lake is seeking a Mechanic 2 who reports to the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain, repair, and replace hospital equipment, operate standby plant systems, and support the hospital’s HVAC and safety infrastructure.

The role also involves record-keeping, meeting participation, and, if a Locksmith, door hardware tasks; the position emphasizes reliability and quality health care support in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 1 year in building or hospital maintenance.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Preventative Maintenance & Repair
• Repairs lighting systems by replacing bulbs, ballasts, broken plugs, and switches in an effort to provide proper hospital lighting and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the provision of high-quality health care services.
• Maintains and repairs hospital air conditioning system by changing air filters and replacing and calibrating thermostats in an effort to ensure patient, visitor, and employee comfort.
• Operates standby equipment including boilers, cooling towers, and electrical lines in case of plant systems failure. Repairs steam lines, pumps, motors, and generators in a manner that promotes safety and conforms to hospital standards.
• Repairs or replaces television sets, nurse call systems, and other electrical equipment as requested in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintains all required records and information pertinent to maintenance and repair costs with special attention given to the accuracy and details of reported information.
• Other Duties as Assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
