Job summary

Primo Brands seeks an Electromechanical Technician to maintain, repair, and improve bottling and packaging equipment at its Allentown, PA (East) facility. The role involves planning PMs, troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs, and supporting installations in a 24/7 operation.

Hours are Days 5:00am-2:00pm, Monday–Friday, with holidays/weekends as needed. Compensation starts at $40.37/hour plus a shift differential and comprehensive benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training is a plus.
• 3+ years maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Urgency to complete tasks in a high-speed environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; PLC experience preferred.
• Solid computer skills; CMMS/ERP experience; SAP preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; good communication.
• Electrical knowledge of single and three-phase power; motor replacement.
• Willing to work holidays/weekends; OSHA- or safety-minded.
• Must complete an online skills assessment prior to onsite interview.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Perform reactive maintenance to recover from failures on lines.
• Disassemble/assemble machines; work on PLCs, VFDs, motors.
• Identify improvements via creative problem solving.
• Coach operators on maintenance concepts and settings.
• Assist with equipment upgrades or installations on projects.
• Provide break relief to production staff as needed.
• Operate a forklift to support duties.
• Support installations, retrofits, and vendor coordination.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and utility systems.
• Weld and fabricate parts to restore operation.

We are currently seeking an Electromechanical Technician for our manufacturing/bottling facility to maintain, fix, and improve equipment used in bottling and packaging operations.

6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to schedule to minimize equipment downtime
• Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural components
• Complete machine tear down/repair and assembly and work on PLCs, VFDs, and electric motors
• Conduct creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements
• Coach operators and peers on basic maintenance concepts and optimal equipment settings
• Participate in special project work on equipment upgrades or installations
• Provide break relief to production operators or team members as needed
• Operate a forklift as needed to complete duties
• Support equipment installations, retrofits and upgrades to include vendors and contractors
• Troubleshoot/ investigate and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility systems including chillers, air compressors etc.
• Weld and Fabricate parts as needed to get the equipment back running

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; additional technical training or certifications desired
• Three or more years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks and comfort working in a high-speed production environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; PLC experience desired
• Solid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience with CMMS or ERP systems needed, SAP experience preferred
• Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
• Solid problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to coach others
• Must have electrical knowledge of single and three phase power including the ability to diagnose and replace electric motors
• Must be able to work and accomplish projects with little to zero supervision
• Must be able to foster and build a team-work environment
• Must be able to do physical inspections, (i.e. climbing, reaching, extending)
• Must be proficient with mechanical drawings and OEM technical prints for parts identification
• Able to lift and pull 50 lbs. as needed while performing work
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 facility operating through most weekends and holidays
• Ability to successfully complete an online skills assessment prior to onsite interview
