Why this role matters

The Maintenance Mechanic II installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment using safe, predictive, and preventive maintenance practices. This role supports the Maintenance team by helping maximize equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and keep operations running safely and efficiently. Working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment, this position collaborates with production and maintenance partners to solve equipment issues and support the site’s business goals.

How you’ll shape the future of comfort:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; diagnose failures, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and adjust. Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns during production and complete scheduled maintenance during planned machine service. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders; perform basic machining, plumbing, and carpentry tasks; use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material‑handling equipment; report equipment defects or unusual conditions; and maintain clean, orderly work areas in compliance with safety requirements.

What we’re looking for

High school diploma or equivalent and three to five years of experience working in an industrial maintenance capacity. Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills, including the ability to read equipment manuals and work orders. Ability to follow detailed instructions, apply practical judgment to varied situations, and perform basic arithmetic and measurements using inches, feet, yards, ounces, and pounds. Ability to communicate clearly in simple written and verbal sentences and accurately record numbers, names, and addresses. Working knowledge of industrial maintenance tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques, including safe hazardous‑material handling and disposal practices.

Even Better if...

Experience operating forklifts, pallet stretch‑wrapping machines, and cardboard baling equipment.
