Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled compliance inspections and repairs to maintain safe facilities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to keep building systems operational.
• Respond to patient-related concerns and maintenance requests promptly.
• Inspect environment of care and identify safety hazards before issues arise.
• Support life safety initiatives and periodic inspections of firefighting equipment.
• Document tasks and track completed work using the work request system.
• Coordinate outside contractors and ensure safe, standards-compliant work.

As a Maintenance Mechanic II, a typical day might include the following:

• Performing scheduled compliance inspections and completing repairs as needed throughout the facility.
• Conducting preventative maintenance activities to ensure building systems remain safe and operational.
• Responding to patient-related concerns and other maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Inspecting the environment of care and identifying potential safety hazards before they become issues.
• Supporting life safety initiatives, including fire boundary inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting equipment.
• Utilizing work request systems to document tasks, maintain records, and track completed work.
• Coordinating and overseeing outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with organizational standards.
• Contributing to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and a minimum of three to five years experience in building maintenance with background in electrical plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC repair. A valid New Jersey Driver's License is required. This a Per Diem position, 7:30am-4pm, every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
