Medxcel is seeking a Day shift, full-time Facilities Technician for St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support reliable facility operations.

The role requires a trade school graduate with 2 years of related experience and about 4 years of overall experience. You will work with locksmith, HVAC, motors, and other building systems to ensure safe, efficient environments.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical systems and equipment for assigned facilities.
• May be assigned more complex assignments that include multiple systems or cross-departmental interaction to complete the maintenance or repair.
• Specialized knowledge and expertise inlocksmith,HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems are required to perform a variety of duties.
• Repairing heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, ventilation systems and equipment.
• Installation and maintenance of motors and of specialized equipment.

Qualifications

Must have one or more of the following:

Education

• Graduate of trade school with 2 years of experience.

Work Experience

• 4 years of related experience.
• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
