Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Hospital Generalist I to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety and predictive maintenance to achieve the site’s business goals and objectives. This position will be on call on a rotating schedule.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with duties spanning carpentry, electrical work, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in facilities maintenance.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Hospital Generalist 1.
• Take daily calls and perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Start or restart chillers and AHU’s; troubleshoot building alarms and repair hospital tube system.
• Install shelving, painting and patching; repair/replace door hardware and window shades.
• Perform TJC inspections and maintenance rounds; schedule preventive maintenance; ensure safety regulations.
• Responsible for shift coverages; participate in snow removal team.

Short Description

This position performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety and predictive maintenance to achieve the site’s business goals and objectives. This position will be on call on a rotating schedule.

• Perform all duties of a Hospital Generalist 1
• Take daily calls and perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as, but not limited to:
• Replace switches, replace ballasts, replace fire alarm initiating devices
• Repair/replace shower diverters, pull and reinstall toilets, operate drain machine, repair med gas oulets
• Start or restart chillers and AHU’s without assistance. Troubleshoot alarms on the building BAS and make repairs without assistance. Troubleshoot and make repairs on the hospital tube system without assistance
• Install shelving, painting and patching, repair/replace door hardware, repair sliding doors, repair/replace window shades.

• Perform TJC inspections and maintenance rounds
• Performs and schedules preventive maintenance procedures for buildings, equipment and grounds. Ensure building and equipment meet all safety and fire regulations and policies
• Resonsible for shift coverages
• Work on snow removal team
