Job summary

Memorial Hermann Northeast in Humble, TX is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair of hospital buildings, equipment, and facilities. You will handle electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks, support HV/AC systems, and ensure safety and compliance with policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about 1 year of related experience or trade school/military training.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience or certificate of completion from a technical/trade school/military experience in an associated mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, general construction trade skill.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine standard servicing/repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures and ground in proper condition as directed.
• Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required; performs preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures as required, maintaining related records.
• Assists in maintaining and repairing HV/AC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors, adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
