Job summary

good2grow is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for the 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM) to ensure manufacturing equipment and the facility are well-maintained.

You will diagnose and repair production equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document repairs; applicants need a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and 2+ years in manufacturing mechanics including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must speak/read English.
• 2 years of related manufacturing mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of related experience in packing/production machines.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (e.g., install, troubleshoot, lines, valves, cylinders).
• Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, motors).
• Experience with mechanical systems (gear boxes, pulleys, belts, sprockets, motors, seals).
• Experience with basic instrumentation and automation (flow meters, PLCs, drives/VFDs).
• Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints).
• Experience with product manuals (reading/applying knowledge to repairs).
• Experience with pumps (troubleshooting, seals/motors).
• Strong math skills to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Maintenance Mechanic I - (3RD SHIFT 9:00PM - 5:30AM)

The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment and the Facility are well-maintained and in good working order. Duties include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment, as well as performing routine upkeep tasks. May also assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.

Key Skills Required

• Accurately follows sanitation procedures and ensures all equipment and areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Consistently adheres to safety procedures and proactively identifies potential hazards.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment.
• Safely perform emergency repairs on production equipment.
• Disassemble, reassemble, and inspect equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Effectively document and keep records of repairs and maintenance during shift.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of food and beverage industry, yields, and production processes.
• 2 years of related manufacturing mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of related experience in packing/production machines.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (e.g., install, troubleshoot, lines, valves, cylinders, etc.)
• Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, stepper motors)
• Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, pulleys, chains, belts, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.)
• Experience with basic instrumentation and automation (e.g., level probes, flow meters, PLCs, drives/VFDs, etc.)
• Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fuses, etc.)
• Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.)
• Strong math skills, ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage to draw and interpret bar graphs.
