Position: Maintenance Mechanic I – 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location: Clackamas, OR 97015

Pay Rate: $31.97 per hour

Available Shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
  • 3rd Shift (Graveyard): 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Monday–Friday)
  • Must be available to work at least one weekend day and overtime as needed.
Job Summary:

MMC is hiring a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join our dynamic production facility in Clackamas, OR. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment by performing a variety of maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all company safety and GMP/Global Food Safety standards
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment (conveyors, chillers, compressors, PLCs, robots, etc.)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on plant machinery
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex machinery
  • Fabricate and weld mild/stainless steel components
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for parts and services
  • Assist in training staff on safety and equipment operations
  • Work to reduce downtime and improve plant performance
Requirements:
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop tools
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing manual labor
  • Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
  • Strong safety and quality commitment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License
