Job summary

Erickson Senior Living’s Windsor Run community in Matthews, NC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to upkeep residential apartments and campus public areas. You’ll respond to work orders, perform routine and emergency repairs, and maintain HVAC equipment to ensure resident comfort and safety.

The role requires at least 2 years in maintenance, knowledge of plumbing/electrical systems, and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in maintenance for residential/apartment complexes, commercial buildings or related fields.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• HVAC systems knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident maintenance work orders.
• Support General Services' visibility and problem-solving for residents.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in apartments and public areas.
• Maintain HVAC equipment including preventive maintenance and emergencies.

How you will make an impact

• Provide prompt responses to resident's maintenance work orders
• Contribute to the General Services' team visibility and reputation for problem solving and enhancing the resident living experience
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and community public areas, including electrical malfunctions, repair/replace plumbing and lighting fixtures, and other maintenance needs that arise
• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment, including scheduled preventive maintenance and responding to emergency calls

What you will need

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building setting, or construction-related industry
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC
• Experience in Home Health environment preferred
• Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
