Job summary

Erickson Senior Living’s Windsor Run community in Matthews, NC, is seeking a Housekeeping Utility Worker to maintain clean facilities and support event room setups. Starting pay is $16/hour and shifts include full-time and part-time positions.

You will operate carpet care and floor cleaning equipment, handle waste, and assist with moving items while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred.
• Ability to safely operate carpet cleaning and floor care equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the community using specialized equipment.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and waste handling.
• Set up rooms for events and assist with movement of heavy objects.
• Remove trash and recycling; manage floor surfaces (scrubbing, mopping, polishing).

Location: Windsor Run by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Housekeeping Utility Worker, responsible for cleaning building areas, floors, and surfaces, setting up rooms for events, and removing trash. No travel required. Be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Shifts available: Both Full-time and Part-time

How You Will Make An Impact

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming

What You Will Need

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment.
• Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required
