Medxcel is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Birmingham, AL to maintain and repair building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a trade school background or equivalent, plus about 2 years of related experience. This is a day shift, full-time position within the Facilities department, offering career growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one trade school credential or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical systems and equipment for assigned facilities.
• May handle more complex assignments involving multiple systems or cross-departmental work.
• Specialized knowledge in locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems is required.
• Repairs heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, ventilation systems and equipment.
• Installs and maintains motors and specialized equipment.
