Job summary

Savage is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Port Arthur, TX. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment, pumps, motors, and hydraulics, while ensuring safety procedures and reporting activities to supervision.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, knowledge of welding/cutting, and the ability to work at heights. USTO and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience repairing bridge cranes and coke cutting equipment.
• Knowledge of welding and cutting techniques.
• Able to work at heights up to 150 feet.
• Strong mechanical background with time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow site and company safety procedures and rules.
• Perform pre/post shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain and report spare parts inventory.
• Record and complete maintenance reports and service records.
• Repair and maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, and plant equipment.
• Maintain good relations with coworkers and management.
• Keep a clean work environment across all areas of responsibility.
• Complete PM services on plant and process equipment.
