Job description

Overview

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the mechanical maintenance and repair of Greensboro Complex, Greensboro Aquatic Center, and the Tanger Center buildings, facilities, and fixtures. This position performs routine tasks and duties including but not limited to carpentry, masonry, electrical, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical repair work.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $25.00-$30.00.

This position will remain open until September 5, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical tools and equipment. Read and interpret sketches, diagrams, and blueprints, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and repair facilities and buildings including carpentry, masonry, electrical, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical work.
  • Install electrical power, internet, and other needs during show setup and events.
  • Install, adjust, repair, and inspect heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment including furnaces, boilers, water pumps, chillers, air conditioning units, exhaust fans, air filters, compressors, cooling towers, and heat exchangers.
  • Install, repair, and replace electrical lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, and clear obstructions from water and sewer lines.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associates in Mechanics or Trade Certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical repair experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK WEEKENDS, NIGHTS, AND HOLIDAYS.
