Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and assist with repairs across the hospital campus. You will support the Engineering Department, install, repair, and maintain various finishes, furnishings, and equipment while ensuring a safe, well‑maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience; hospital experience is preferred

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience required.
• Prior hospital or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and work at varying heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering Department, including changing light fixtures, resetting breakers, cleaning and installing light panels, and repairing sockets and wiring.
• Utilize proper techniques and equipment to install, maintain, and repair a variety of interior and exterior finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintain a continuous supply of medical gases by replacing tanks and coordinating reorders as needed.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and staging equipment while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
• Assist with general facility upkeep to ensure a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

About the Job:
