Job summary

The role involves reviewing equipment reports, recording repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment. You will also manage tool areas, secure battery charging, and assist with light repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school preferred.
• Minimum six months of mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, high-lifts, forklifts, batteries).
• Review equipment reports, log actions taken, and maintain a repair log per policy.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and document PM logs.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe environment) per policy.
• Maintain and secure battery charging area and tools; manage inventory and tool storage.
• Possibly purchase tools from local vendors; perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
