Job summary

PURIS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, and repair diversified mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment at our Harrold, SD facility. You will support production goals while upholding safety and quality standards.

Required 7+ years in manufacturing with strong pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC knowledge; experience with grain handling equipment and maintenance welding is a plus. On-call rotation and attendance incentives are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or technical school graduate.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC knowledge a plus.
• Experience with grain handling/processing equipment.
• Experience with maintenance welding and air compressors.
• Experience with rigging to position machinery and parts, bearings, gears, shafts.
• Experience with laser alignment tooling and hydraulic/pneumatic maintenance.
• General mechanical and electrical knowledge; PLC experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations; maintain clean work areas.
• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust.
• On-call maintenance rotation.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders; communicate with coworkers.
• Report downtime and maintain records.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, boom/scissor lifts).
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
