Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to service and repair production equipment in a fast-paced chocolate manufacturing facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with GMP and FSQA standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing, understands electrical/plumbing/HVAC/pneumatic systems, and can read technical manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and warning signs.
• Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to operate welding/brazing equipment, lathes and milling machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment using checklists.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; perform repairs and replacements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of labor, parts and materials for regulatory compliance.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and costs.
• Ensure safe use of tools and maintain a clean, well‑organized work area.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety standards and participate in FSQA training.
