Job summary

King’s Command Foods in Versailles, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to support our production line. You will assist higher-level mechanics with servicing, repairing, and testing equipment that operates on mechanical principles, and perform preventative maintenance to keep machinery running smoothly.

This role requires the ability to work extended hours Mon-Sat with overtime, in varied temperatures and around moving parts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures, warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday (occasionally Sunday) with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Ability to complete training: Safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food defense.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level mechanics with servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical principles.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to ensure machinery runs at 100% in order to meet day‑to‑day production demands.
• Conveyor belt repair and replacement.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e., maintenance log and repair logs, etc.).
• Notify the Manager or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to ensure machinery runs at 100% in order to meet day‑to‑day production demands.
• Conveyor belt repair and replacement.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e., maintenance log and repair logs, etc.).
• Notify the Manager or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.
