PrideStaff, Inc. is seeking a responsive Maintenance Mechanic / Facility & Machine Worker for a premier Hauppauge facility. Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire, 1st shift, 40 hours. Compensation $25.00–$35.00/hour based on experience. You will maintain equipment, troubleshoot machinery, and support facility upkeep.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, staying on feet on the shop floor, and following safety procedures. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or building maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical/plumbing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on manufacturing floor for long periods.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment; assist with basic mechanical and PLC troubleshooting, component replacements, and machinery setups.
• Complete basic repairs across facility structures, including doors, walls, flooring, basic plumbing, lighting/electrical fixes, and HVAC filter changes.
• Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, safety guidelines, and proper usage of PPE.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, machine shop upkeep, waste container management, and contractor support.

Position Overview

A premier manufacturing facility in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic for general facility upkeep, machinery troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Operations team, this role ensures plant equipment remains production-ready and the building stays safe, functional, and clean.

Key Responsibilities

Machine & Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment; assist with basic mechanical and PLC troubleshooting, component replacements, and machinery setups.

Facility Maintenance: Complete basic repairs across facility structures, including doors, walls, flooring, basic plumbing, lighting/electrical fixes, and HVAC filter changes.

Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, safety guidelines, and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

General Upkeep: Assist with grounds maintenance, machine shop upkeep, waste container management, and contractor support.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or building maintenance.

Strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical/plumbing troubleshooting skills, and tool proficiency.
