Job summary

Pyramid Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our facilities running smoothly and protect the center's value. You will handle interior and exterior repairs, HVAC and plumbing maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, basic plumbing skills, and a high school diploma or GED. A proactive work ethic and ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Keep Operations Running Smoothly: perform interior and exterior repairs (drywall, painting, flooring, masonry, roofing, parking decks, structural touch-ups).
• Preventative Maintenance: maintain HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to prevent downtime.
• Customer & Team Support: provide friendly on-site assistance and keep supervisor informed about equipment health.
• Contractor Liaison: coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.

From hands-on structural repairs to critical preventative maintenance, your work will directly impact our daily operations, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Perform interior and exterior repairs, including drywall installation, painting, flooring, masonry patching, roofing, parking decks and structural touch-ups.


• Preventative Maintenance: Maintain crucial facility HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems (sprinklers, extinguishers) to prevent downtime.


• Customer & Team Support: Provide friendly assistance to customers on-site and maintain clear communication with your supervisor regarding equipment's health.


• Contractor Liaison: Assist and coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are underway.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or equivalent trade background (BOCES training or similar in general HVAC/maintenance is highly preferred).


• Skills: Solid basic plumbing skills and comfort handling routine HVAC preventative maintenance.


• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.


• Traits: A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and zero supervisory experience required-just a strong work ethic.
