Job summary

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to keep our multi-site health center operations safe and functional. The role covers general maintenance, repairs, and upgrades across all facilities in the Merrimack Valley.

You will maintain the computerized maintenance system, coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor on schedules, and assist in renovations with subcontractors as needed. Strong English skills and a HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance including knowledge in plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
• Proficient in English speaking, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs at all facilities.
• Responds to staff maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains the computerized maintenance system and plans schedules with the Facilities Supervisor.
• Assists in small renovation/construction projects with consultation from management.
• Maintains tools and equipment needed for maintenance functions.
• Responsible for equipment pertaining to job functions and grounds duties.
• Paints sites as needed and performs emergency repairs to buildings or grounds.
• Supports planning of projects with subcontractors and monitors safety compliance.
