Job summary

Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical position at International Paper in Maryland Heights, MO. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance, preventive tasks, and timely repairs to support plant operations. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read measuring devices.

OT may be required, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay is $31 per hour with opportunities for progression and bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post High School training preferred.
• Corrugated Industry Maintenance experience preferred;
• Must be willing to work OT including Saturdays and Sundays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Following all safety rules and practices.
• Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels
• Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
• Accurately using measurement and test equipment
• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work area, and cleaning up work area as part of completing assigned tasks
• Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork
• Troubleshooting and solving problems
• Maintaining teamwork with other associates; and
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision

starting at $31/hr.

Sign-on Bonus:

$500 after 30 days,
$500 after 6 months,
$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years

Retention Bonus:

$500 after 1 year
Additional lump sum after 2 years

The Job You Will Perform:

• Following all safety rules and practices

• Requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and aptitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Preferred skills in pneumatics, electrical, PLC and hydraulics
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post High School training preferred
• Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
• Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience
• Ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
• Corrugated Industry Maintenance experience preferred; and
• Must be willing to work OT including Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
