Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a maintenance technician to keep our fruit processing and packaging lines running smoothly at our Yakima area facilities. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and setups for product changes.

Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential. We offer an excellent benefits package and a competitive hourly pay rate of $23.50–$24.50.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with coworkers.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs all raw fruit processing equipment.
• Maintains and repairs packaging equipment.
• Rebuilds and maintains equipment per specifications, pumps, gear boxes and drives.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic systems and analyzes problems.
• Sets up and starts equipment, lubricates machinery, changes over for product changes.
• Performs light machinist duties, plumbing functions including steam, water and hydraulics; general housekeeping.

Pay rate: $23.50-$24.50

• Maintains and repairs all raw fruit processing equipment.
• Maintains and repairs packaging
  equipment.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment per specifications, pumps,
  gear boxes and varies drives, augers and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
• Analyzes problems related to equipment.
• Sets up and starts equipment, lubricates machinery and parts, changes over equipment for product changes as required.
• Performs light machinist duties, plumbing function - steam, water, air and hydraulics Also maintains general housekeeping
• Maintains and repairs all raw fruit processing equipment
• Must exercise the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must Conduct oneself in a professional and efficient manner and be capable of dealing with other employees, including Supervisors and Leads.
