Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a maintenance technician to assist in maintaining machinery, plumbing, building and equipment at our facility.

Responsibilities include overhauls and repairs, sizing and aligning components, replacing gearheads and drives, keeping records, and ensuring clean, safe work areas in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overhauls and repairs as needed.
• Assist in sizing, aligning, installing, replacing, and adjusting chains, sprockets, shakers, motors, drives, and gearheads.
• Assist with inspection, repair or overhaul of any style pump, gearhead, drive, reel.
• Cut, form, and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
• Keep records up to date.
• Oil and grease equipment as needed.
• Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Observe all company safety policies and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY
