**Position Title:**

Maintenance Mechanic

Pay Rate: $40.31

Sign on Bonus: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time

Physical Location: International Paper, 19615 S Susana Road, Compton, CA 90221

The Job You Will Perform:

• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; observe operations, vibrations, and noise levels
• Perform emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
• Accurately use measurement and test equipment
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Install wire and conduit for new and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, and machinery
• Replace faulty electrical components like relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
• Diagnose and repair/replace faulty electronic components like printed circuit boards
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot drives, including AC and DC
• Read electrical block diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder logic
• Able to troubleshoot and program PLCs
• Design and create electrical line drawings and schematics
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Accurately maintain maintenance records and paperwork
• Troubleshoot and solve problems
• Maintain teamwork with other associates
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
