Short Intro and About the Job

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We have an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic based in City of Industry, CA. The maintenance mechanic will provide technical support to the manufacturing plant, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to optimize efficiency, increase productivity, and ensure safety.

The hourly rate for this role is $39.10 on the swing shift (1:45PM-10:15PM) or graveyard shift (9:45PM-6:15AM).

Responsibilities
  • Follow and adhere to all safety rules, training, and best practices.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, pneumatic, lubrication, and PLC systems.
  • Complete all paperwork and digital records accurately and clearly.
  • Attend and complete all required training.
  • Perform predictive maintenance to enhance uptime.
  • Teach operators maintenance techniques for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, assist in diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds.
  • Use root cause analysis for sustainable corrective actions.
  • Complete PMs as scheduled to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Utilize CMMS system effectively for work orders and maintenance tracking.
  • Analyze breakdowns and identify gaps in equipment design, fabrication, and maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, including SOPs, work instructions, and standard maintenance practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready work area following QMS, GMP, and 5S principles.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Support production needs and participate in team meetings.
  • Assist and train colleagues as needed.
  • Comply with all policies, regulations, and procedures.
About You

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of machinery, tools, materials, and repair techniques.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Computer literacy, including programming and ladder logic.

Skills:

  • Effective technical communication skills.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to maintenance tasks.
  • Routine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Forklift OSHA certification (preferred).
