Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic / Boiler Operator to maintain facility equipment and central plant systems across all Capital Health buildings. The role blends boiler operation with general facility maintenance, preventative work, and project support, requiring independent work and collaboration with the facilities team.

The position is full-time, with a 40-hour work week and a pay range of $26.00–$33.80 per hour.

• Monitor boiler operations, readings, and water chemistry tests; maintain accurate logbooks.
• Diagnose equipment failures and plan installations or repairs in coordination with the facilities team.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic / Boiler Operator maintains facility equipment and central plant systems to ensure a safe, efficient environment across all Capital Health buildings. This role combines routine boiler operations, including monitoring readings, conducting water chemistry tests and maintaining accurate logbooks, with general facility repairs, preventative maintenance and seasonal support. The role also diagnoses equipment failures, plans new equipment installations and determines the necessary supplies to complete projects both independently and alongside the broader facilities team.
