Job description

Maintenance Mechanic

Heavy mobile equipment Maintenance Mechanic position available.

Pay: Up to $32/hr, day shift. Start time around 5-6am, end time approximately 3-5pm, Monday to Friday. Average hours: 50-55 hrs/week.

Responsibilities:

• Repair heavy mobile equipment such as large front-end loaders and mobile cranes (excluding overhead cranes; these are large material handlers with grapple or magnet attachments).
• Collaborate with equipment operators to perform basic daily PMs, including greasing.
• Perform detailed maintenance tasks such as less frequent PMs, hose repairs, and replacements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to decide which tasks are done in-house versus by outside contractors.
• Instruct parts department on necessary parts for repairs to ensure availability.

This role involves mostly independent work. You will be one of two full-time Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanics at this facility, with support available for larger jobs.
