Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the operation of our process and power generation plants. You will perform skilled mechanical and welding work and ensure equipment runs safely and on schedule.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, you will repair diverse plant systems, coordinate with operations, and participate in safety programs. This is a Monday–Friday role with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, seals, and rebuilding cylinders/pumps.
• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and belt splicing.
• Ability to read blueprints and maintenance instructions.
• Welding experience with SMAW, GTAW or GMAW preferred.
• Experience with machining tools such as hydraulic presses and band saws.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Attends and participates in scheduled training and safety programs.
• Performs mechanical, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, PM’s and fabrication.
• Consults with operations and works cooperatively with facility operators to schedule repairs.
• Completes work order actions and log books.

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic performs skilled mechanical and welding work in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the process plant and power generation plant in compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Attends and participates in scheduled training and safety programs.
• Knows, understands and complies with all company safety regulations and procedures.
• Performs a wide variety of mechanical, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, PM’s and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly and disassembly of all types of plant operation equipment, conveyors, piping structural reinforced plastic, and sheet metal systems.
• Consults with operations and works cooperatively with facility operators, ensuring that facility machinery is being repaired as requested.
• Completes work order corrective actions and log books.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Leadership Team.
• Shift: Monday - Friday 8 hours a days with on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three (3) years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Hydraulics – is able to install seals, and to rebuild cylinders and pumps.
• Conveyors – can remove, install taper locks, gearboxes, bearings and splice belts.
• Pipefitting – can operate pipe threading machine.
• Oxy Acetylene – is able to cut and fabricate from simple fabrications drawings/instructions preferred/willing to learn.
• Machining – can safely operate hydraulic press, drill press, band saw and grinders.
• Basic Math – can add and subtract fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, manuals rules, maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to complete all Maintenance & Safety Training within prescribed deadlines, which are expected to be met as a condition of employment.
• Completes work order corrective actions and log books.
• SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding procedures experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Work in close quarters and confined spaces. Climb ladders and structures. Tolerate heights, high temperatures, and work outside. Can frequently lift and carry 50 lbs. Have the ability to don and wear a negative pressure respirator in accordance with OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.134. Employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended hours. Ability to wear Reworld required PPE for the job and the assigned task. Specific vision ability required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Transparency

The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 33.22 - 44.18 USD per hour
