Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment that powers our waste processing operations. This role ensures safe, efficient uptime and supports continuous production in a demanding manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will use root-cause analysis to troubleshoot breakdowns, prioritize repairs and document activities in our maintenance system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must possess MA 1C/2C Hoisting License or obtain quickly.
• Willingness to work on call, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule to prevent downtime.
• Investigate breakdowns with root-cause analysis alongside teams.
• Prioritize repair and installation of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Use maintenance docs to open/close work orders and manage parts.
• Repair/maintain production machinery including inspection and replacement.
• Observe equipment operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Review maintenance data to plan activities.
• Inspect machines for safety and performance conformance.

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program
• Utilize Reworld's defined maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant
• Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Must possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (refer to state of MA for license requirements)
• Must be flexible to work on call, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to meet company needs

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
