Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain all aspects of the production facility and perform maintenance tasks as required.
  2. Process all category 3 & 4 (Food Quality/Food & Employee Safety) Work Orders and High-Risk Work Orders per SQF standards.
  3. Understand machinery and plant equipment, perform necessary repairs, and understand general plant operations.
  4. Operate and maintain WWTP and record keeping.
  5. Possess knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, refrigeration, ammonia cooling, boilers, and manufacturing processes.
  6. Perform plant maintenance, checks, and preventive maintenance as needed.
  7. Participate in training on equipment and installations.
  8. Maintain, repair, and operate equipment with acquired knowledge.
  9. Conduct chemical testing of Central Sanitizer, House Water, and Cheese Water each shift.
  10. Support SQF compliance by maintaining food safety and quality, keeping work areas sanitary.
  11. Maintain documentation as per SQF requirements.
  12. Report food safety issues promptly.
  13. Work overtime as needed and fulfill all assigned duties.
  14. Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, manufacturing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Basic English and Math skills.
  • Physical fitness without medical conditions that hinder job performance.
  • Compliance with safety standards.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Experience with electrical work up to 480V, pipefitting, welding (MIG, TIG, arc).

For candidates in New York, the starting pay range is $21.00 - $27.00 per hour. This reflects current anticipated compensation.
