Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Pay Rate: $38.19/hr

Sign-on Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year, with an additional bonus at 2 years

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time, Mandatory overtime and weekend work, Off Shift

Physical Location: 7727 Union Mills Rd SE, Olympia, WA 985033

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic and electrical systems, and automated systems.
  • Perform maintenance functions including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdown repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Plan, obtain cost estimates, and execute projects under supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Provide training in areas of expertise.
  • Respond to work orders and assist in ordering parts.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support installation of new equipment and facility improvements.
  • Work safely, observe safety rules, and identify unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems and support audits.
  • Design and fabricate repairs and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The Skills You Will Bring:
  • Experience in electrical circuit troubleshooting, PLC programming, electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam and boiler systems, pneumatics, confined space, mobile equipment, MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to adapt to change, problem solve, and prioritize work.
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, stand for at least 3 hours, and lift 50-70 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, Mechanical Journeyman or technical/vocational certificate, mobile equipment operator license; crane operator license is a plus.
