The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC and other facility infrastructure within the Green Hill School campus, a Juvenile Rehabilitation maximum security facility that provides treatment services for younger offenders.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC and other facility infrastructure within the Green Hill School campus, a Juvenile Rehabilitation maximum security facility that provides treatment services for younger offenders.
You will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform inspections, maintain work areas and records, and help ensure the facility remains safe, secure, functional, and compliant with Washington state requirements. This role will also provide guidance to other maintenance staff and coordinate work with contractors and facility personnel.
Perform scheduled and routine preventative maintenance to keep facility systems and equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or Repair work.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in skilled mechanic trade.
