Johns Manville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic in Richmond, IN to service and troubleshoot conveyors, drives, motors, and pumps on a 3-2-2 schedule with 3-4 days off weekly. You will work under the shift supervisor, ensuring safety and quality standards while maximizing equipment productivity.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with similar equipment, and a journeyman card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with similar equipment.
• UAW or AFL/CIO journeyman card or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions, policies and procedures.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and operate a calculator.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to read temperature and pressure gauges.
• Willingness to learn new technology and equipment operation.
• Physically able to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
• Must be respirator ready.
• Able to provide professional tools (supplemented by company) in order to perform job duties.
• Willingness to improve technical skills through continuing education, on-site training, and other opportunities as provided.

Responsibilities

• Experience in servicing and troubleshooting belt conveyors.
• Experience in servicing and troubleshooting chain drives and components.
• Experience in setting and aligning motors.
• Experience with setting and troubleshooting centrifugal pumps.
