About Technical Operations
BioMarin's Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists, and support staff build and maintain BioMarin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
Summary
This is a swing shift position, Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance (per SOP requirements) of all purified water systems (RO, DI, WFI) and associated equipment, pure steam generators, plant steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, chillers, HVAC units, and associated equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment that supports the manufacturing facilities. Able to assist with performing preventive maintenance on process and manufacturing support equipment.

Experience
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in highly regulated industry or GMP environment.
Desired Skills:
EDUCATION
High School Diploma, College degree (Associates/Bachelors), Technical Certification, military technical training, or equivalent experience or Journeyman skill level in a trade.
EQUIPMENT
Utilities: Purified water systems (RO, DI, WFI) and associated equipment, pure steam generators, plant steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, chillers, HVAC units and associated equipment, hot HVAC water boilers, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Process: Autoclaves, Glassware washer, Bioreactors, Chromatography skids, Media and Buffer tanks, CIP skids, fermenters, Ultra filtration, cold rooms, HTST system, Homogenizer, Centrifuges, heat tanks and some other associated equipment.
