Qualifications

Job description

Performs mechanical maintenance tasks such as preventative maintenance, machine repair, metal fabrication, welding, plumbing, painting, and other common maintenance duties. Maintains electrical systems for equipment and performs preventive maintenance to maximize production time and minimize downtime.

1. Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
2. Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
3. Replaces or repairs machine belts.
4. Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
5. Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
6. Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
7. Assembles, reconfigures, or moves parts for workstations and other furnishings.
8. Patches or replaces plasterboard and paints walls, ceilings, and trims of buildings.
9. Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
10. Operates welding machines to repair or join metal parts.
11. Cleans work areas, tools, and equipment.
12. Operates forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts as required.
13. Performs other routine duties as necessary.
14. Troubleshoots control circuits in production equipment.
15. Implements electrical/electronic improvements on equipment for better and safer performance.
16. Analyzes electronic components and systems to design and develop improvements to PLC systems, mixing processes, and production lines.
17. Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate malfunctions and improve productivity.
18. Repairs and maintains all electronic and electrical systems of production operations.
19. Performs other duties when requested.

Preferred Skills

• High school diploma.
• Four years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
