KIK Consumer Products in Florida is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to support high-speed packaging operations. The role requires 4+ years of mechanical experience and applicable electrical knowledge, with hands-on work across shifts.

• Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging/manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
• Associates degree in electronic field and/or Electrical Diploma/Certificate with at least 3 years of experience OR 5+ years of proven experience in related field is highly desirable.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Must be flexible to work Shift Work (days, afternoons, nights).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes.
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures.
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software’s an asset.
• Must pay attention to details with a customer service attitude.
• Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills

Responsabilidades

• Sets up production equipment to run scheduled production.
• Discusses difficulties in operating equipment with machine operators to isolate problems, and then troubleshoots machine to determine cause and repairs required.
• Must be able to read and follow directions in technical manuals and document changes for future reference.
• Performs necessary repairs on equipment to keep it in top running order.
• Must be able to perform major mechanical overhauls of some packaging equipment.
• Must troubleshoot electrical and motor problems, and verify proper operation.
• Caries out required preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assists in determining required design modifications and makes approved modifications.
• Performs tasks in accordance with procedures and safety protocols (GMPs).
• Provides coverage for mechanics on other shifts as needed.
• Works with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sets up production equipment to run scheduled production

• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and motor problems. This includesdetermining if a motor or electrical system, is functioning properly and isconfigured properly.
• Carries out required preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assists in determining required design modifications and makes approvedmodifications to equipment.
• Performs tasks in accordance with approved procedures and following all safetyprocedures and gmp's.
• Provides coverage for mechanics on other shifts, as needed.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
