Job summary

Westminster Place in Evanston, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 for our full-time Maintenance Department. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with on-call 24/7; the position offers an hourly wage of $22.95–$32.09 based on experience.

You will perform maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, water heaters, switches, and fixtures, with opportunities to install or repair various systems. We value detail, independence, and teamwork to support residents.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Maintenance experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge in all areas of maintenance: Plumbing, minor electrical repairs, carpentry, flooring.
• Install or repair hot water heaters.
• Replace switches, receptacles, wiring, etc.
• Install woodbase, flooring, glass, etc.
