Furst-McNess Company is hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic for our Lodi, WI location. This role covers preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment, facilities, and grounds to keep warehouse operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance preferred.
• 2 years of maintenance mechanic experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or agricultural environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain required certifications with company support.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, and warehouse equipment, vehicles, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical (including basic 3-phase), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support fabrication, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction or modification projects as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records, preventative maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
• Safely operate and maintain tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, and other equipment.
• Complete facility and grounds upkeep tasks (lighting, painting, snow removal, general repairs).
• Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, lockout/tagout, and GMP/regulatory requirements.
• Assist with improvement projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, or compliance.
