Major product lines encompass thermoplastic and metal fabricated enclosures, fiber optic cable connection and management systems, and high-performance below-grade vaults.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves equipment used in plastics and metals operations. Ensures good housekeeping and adherence to all company policies and safety rules on assigned shifts.

Essential Functions
  1. Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and complete reactive repairs on production lines.
  2. Use troubleshooting skills to identify and implement equipment improvements.
  3. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery.
  4. Collaborate with team members and operators to meet production schedules.
  5. Start up and shut down production equipment and systems.
  6. Conduct inspections and verify proper equipment functioning.
  7. Operate forklifts safely.
  8. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements & Training
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures, including SDS and ISO standards relevant to the role.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; electrical skills are a plus.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing, pulling, pushing, and bending.
  • Wearing appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility clothing.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Includes standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is performed indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures.
